UNCHAINED MEN'S MINISTRIES: BROTHERS IN ARMS
Three years ago Donny Prater was on the fast track to burnout. He felt like he was about to break under the pressures of his new position as men's ministry director. That changed when eight men came together to form the core leadership group for his local church. They created a ministry model Prater has followed since.
"When a small group of like-hearted men come together for Christ, big things happen," Prater says. "This group is helping other men come alive."
Prater's experiences inspired him and friend Randy Carpenter to form Unchained Men's Ministries in an effort to mentor other m en to do the same. They have been able to make a positive impact on the men's ministries of several churches through speaking, teaching, consulting and partnering.
Prater also penned a book, A Warrior Culture, as a way to challenge Christian men to band together and engage in spiritual warfare.
"We want to show men that they need other brothers to lock arms with and fight," he says. "Because all men matter."

April 22, 2007: Donny Prater lauches Online Christian Golfer Community- Today, Unchained Men’s founder Donny Prater announced that he has launched a new ministry built around uniting Christian Golfers around the world. Fore God!!! (http://www.foregod.com) Is the name of the new website that seeks to bring Christian golfers together for fellowship, accountability, and most of all fun.
Donny says, “I’d been looking for a way to involve my faith in Christ with my favorite sport. After researching the web, I saw that there was no other site that offered a place for Christian golfers to come together, share ideas, and fellowship. FORE God!!! Does just that.”
FORE God!!! Is comprised of devotions and forums for golfers to communicate. And, Donny has partnered with Billy Hutchinson (President of the Christian Golf Ministry), to bring the best of the best to it’s users.

January 27,2007: Donny Prater was interviewed by a local radio station about his book "A Warrior Culture". This was the first time Unchained Men's Ministries have been mentioned on live radio and praise be to God that it all went well.

August 27, 2006: "A Warrior Culture" is OUT THERE!!! As of this morning, the first book produced by Unchained Men's Ministries has been released for public distribution. AWC (by Donny Prater) can be found on Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble.com, and Taget.com. Also, the book is available in the UK and Europe through counterpart websites.
When asked about the release, Donny said, "This really is a blessing from God. I wasn't expecting to see it out there until Ocotber at the earliest. God's hand is really on this project and I know that His men will grow stronger through it. The publishing process is a tiring and humbling experience but if it touches one man and changes him, it was all worth it. God is blessing our ministry in this first of many works."
He went on to say, "At one point in the process, I was praying for confirmation from God that He wanted me to press forward with this book. Well, considering it only took 30 days from submittal to release, instead of 90-120 days, I think I have all of the confimation I need."
So in what direction does Unchained Ministries take from here? Donny says, "We are in the process of working on a conference and all the needed presentation materials for A Warrior Culture. We want nothing more than to take this message to the men of the Church."

August 24, 2006: Unchained Men's Ministries is pleased to report that Donny's book "A Warrior Culture: Surrounding Yourself with Dangerous Men of God" is in the final stage of publishing. Without any unforseen problems, his work should be available on Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble.com and Target.com by October 1st.
Donny told us, "I'm so excited that what we are doing at Unchained Men is going to be available not only to the local groups we impact but now it will be accessible by the world! This is a very fun, yet humbling time in the life of this ministry." He went on to say, "God is working in the lives of men bringing them together to fight for what the enemy has claimed."

June 1, 2006: Unchained Men's Ministries is pleased to report that Donny Prater has completed the draft of his book entitiled "A Warrior Culture" and it is now in the final review stage. This book is the first project commissioned by Unchained Men's Ministries. Mr. Prater signed printing and distribution agreements with Salem Communications in May with publication slated for late July.
When asked about the contents of the upcoming release, Mr Prater stated:
"A Warrior Culture was born out of my experience and witness of men come alive in Christ and taking there place as warriors in God's battle. I have a burning desire to unite men into communities of warriors by using the talents God graciously gave to me with the hope of glorifying Him. For far too long, the men of the Church have come to believe that they don't need each other. What a lie from the Enemy that many have bought into! With the state of our families, churches, and world, today is the day to make a change. The world needs dangerous men of God to come together and take back what the Enemy has laid claim to."
